I don’t know about you, but I grew up going to church. While I spent many Sundays in church I rarely spent any time in my bible. When my life was turned completely upside-down, I was left feeling unworthy, unfulfilled and on the brink of divorce. It gave way to a depression that threatened to take my life. I couldn’t find the peace, comfort or joy I heard about for years in church. Turned out my Sunday morning faith wasn’t enough.
I’m sure you understand the importance of having a relationship with Jesus. What you may not have considered, however, is that part of getting to know Him is spending time in the bible. It’s that time in the word that will change you.
You’re probably going to church, praying, and maybe even attending a ladies small group during the week, but still not studying the bible.
